Thank you for visiting this website today!  My name is  Dave Aucoin and I serve as the President of the Rhode Island Family Institute formerly the Family Policy Alliance of Rhode Island. We are also part of a national alliance with a presence in 40 states and networked with three other well-known and effective Faith and Family ministries such as: Focus on the Family, Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) and the Family Research Council located in Washington DC.

In today's broken world, the battle requires not only courage but a steadfast commitment to make meaningful strides in support of families amid the complexities of today’s culture war. This endeavor is not for the faint of heart; it calls for individuals who are willing to stand firm in their beliefs and advocate passionately for the values that uplift families. We can navigate the challenges that lie ahead and create an environment where God is honored, religious liberty flourishes, families thrive and life is cherished. POST ELECTION THOUGHTS! - "His Compassions Never Fail"
 

The first thought that came to my mind the morning after the 2024 Elections was that God had given America a reprieve and a Ray of HOPE going forward for the future.  These verses from the Book of Ecclesiastes may capture what many are also feeling concerning the results. 

Ecclesiastes 3:21-23… “Yet this I call to mind and therefore I have hope: Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.”

In my opinion as well as many others across the country, the election results were not so much about personalities as it was about a conservative shift towards family values and morality.  To be sure, the economy was the biggest factor affecting how people voted as so many of the exit polls showed.  Yet, even the economy is about family and if families feel they are better off now than they were 4 years ago.

 

Speaker of the House, Mike Johnson, spoke with Family Research Council’s Tony Perkins on Trump’s win and attributed it to a push-back against “the Woke Left’s Crazy Ideology” concerning abortion, LGBTQ, Gender issues and other anti-traditional family values.  The race was nowhere as close as some believed it would be and proof that people are fed up and want change.  They are not buying into a radical liberal agenda. That’s why I think of it as a reprieve.  But, it’s not time to rest!

Trump Improved His Margin Of Support

WPRI reported that in Rhode Island, Trump improved his margin of support to varying degrees in all 39 cities and towns, showing how Republicans were able to make gains even in the state's traditional Democratic strongholds.  If Speaker of the House, Mike Johnson is right, it may be that Rhode Island families are fed up with the radical left and are leaning conservative. That means that there may be opportunity in 2025 to pass some positive Pro-Family Legislation!  

 

Here are some things to be praying about:
•    School Choice Legislation 
•    Parental Rights Protection
•    A Ban on Gender Surgery on Minors      
•    Removing Pornographic Books from School Libraries and Classrooms
•    Pro-Life Incentives and Support
•    Limitations on Recreational Marijuana
•    Save Girl’s Sports Legislation

 

I’m sure God has answered prayers that you thought were IMPOSSIBLE.  You can be sure that God was at work and the elections of 2024 were more than just about personalities. Romans 8:28 assures us that HE is “working all things together for good…”  And, they are a reminder once again that of the truth in Ecclesiastes 3:21-23. “God’s compassions never fail. They are new every morning.”

 
This is holds true for America, for Rhode Island and for you and your family!

 

MAY GOD BLESS AMERICA – WE STILL HAVE A LOTS OF WORK TO DO BUT WE LOOK FORWARD TO THE TASK AND ALWAYS GETTING READY FOR THE DAY OF HIS RETURN!

Right here in Rhode Island, I have gotten to know and appreciate Howard Brown who leads RICI – the Rhode Island Coalition for Israel. It’s made up of Christians and Jews, who share Judeo-Christian values. They volunteer together based on their common faith in God’s promise to Abraham about the land of Israel and the view that Jewish people have a right to a safe and secure homeland in Israel. There are ways we can now help Israel right here in Rhode Island.

We would love to come to your church or youth group and present a forty-five minute mini-workshop that will bring knowledge and awareness to you with information such as, getting a handle on marijuana policy, how families are being affected, pot shops on the arise, gummies and candy, and a view of the devastating effects on other states that have legalized it.
