Pastor Dave A. Aucoin
Executive Director
Thank you for visiting this website today! My name is Dave Aucoin and I serve as the President of the Rhode Island Family Institute formerly the Family Policy Alliance of Rhode Island. We are also part of a national alliance with a presence in 40 states and networked with three other well-known and effective Faith and Family ministries such as: Focus on the Family, Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) and the Family Research Council located in Washington DC.

In today's broken world, the battle requires not only courage but a steadfast commitment to make meaningful strides in support of families amid the complexities of today’s culture war. This endeavor is not for the faint of heart; it calls for individuals who are willing to stand firm in their beliefs and advocate passionately for the values that uplift families. We can navigate the challenges that lie ahead and create an environment where God is honored, religious liberty flourishes, families thrive and life is cherished. Let us embrace this important journey together, recognizing that our actions today lay the foundation for a more hopeful and resilient future for generations to come.
Antisemitism - is on the rise nationally and worldwide. Much of the antisemitism in America is concentrated on college campuses. CUFI, Christians United For Israel is being pro-active by developing a High School Curriculum for Christian Schools and Home schoolers. It is available through their website www.CUFI.org or by contacting Abel Taye, Abel.Taye@cufi.org . The curriculum lays a solid foundation for Israel's right to exist based on their history as recorded in the Old Testament as well as historically. I have been learning so much as I have been studying it. Israel is very similar to the U.S. and the only democracy in the Middle East. The picture above is of board-members of the RI Coalition for Israel with General Amir Avivi who was in the U.S. speaking on the need to defendIsrael and her right to exist.
Similar to the United States, Israel's Declaration of Independence states, “the State of Israel… will establish equal social and political rights for all its citizens without distinguishing on the basis of religion, race or gender.” Israeli citizens represent over 100 countries. Over 20% of Israelis are of Arab ethnicity, and all Israelis, regardless of background, enjoy full and equal rights under the law. Women have equal rights and dignity in Israel, and they participate in every facet of society, including the role of Prime Minister, Knesset members, and fighter jet pilots. Christians, too, are thriving and free in Israel as are people of minority faiths such as Druze and Baha’i. In fact, Israel is the ONLY country in that part of the world where Christians are not persecuted.

Psalm 122:6-8 encourages us to PRAY for the peace of Jerusalem, it's well-being, prosperity, and security, and for the safety of its residents. One day soon Jesus will return and set up his kingdom, make Jerusalem his capital. The devil would like nothing more to destroy Jerusalem so there would be no city for Jesus to return to. So, let's make it a point to regularly pray for Jerusalem and for Israel. As he promised, God is drawing Jews from all over the world back to their homeland. Prophecy is being fulfilled in our day!

IVF - Not the Perfect Solution - IVF is making national news as one of several techniques available to help people with fertility problems. During IVF, an egg is removed from the woman's ovaries and fertilized with sperm in a laboratory. The fertilized egg, called an embryo, is then returned to the woman's womb to grow and develop.
Mary Szoch writing for Family Research Council CAUTIONS...
"Certainly IVF has brought the hope of bearing a child to fruition for a small percentage (23%) of couples who utilize the process. All of us should acknowledge that the millions of children born as a result of IVF are a blessing to their families and to our world. At the same time, however, we must recognize that millions more lives have been lost through this process that treats children as a commodity, not a gift — with estimates suggesting that more than 97% of embryonic children are discarded, miscarried, frozen indefinitely, or donated for use by others or experimentation. Thankfully there are other options..."
These methods work with a woman’s body instead of ignoring an unhealthy system and trying to override it as IVF does. Restorative reproductive medicine is not extraordinarily expensive, and no part of the process infringes upon the dignity of any of the persons involved — including the unborn. There are no eugenic tests, no gametes to mix up, and no “excess” embryonic children to destroy.

Perhaps most importantly, restorative reproductive medicine has a success rate of over 60%, with many couples successfully carrying a pregnancy to term even after failing to conceive via IVF."

"What Has Changed Since Recreational Marijuana Was Legalized?"
RIFI has a new outreach! We would love to come to your church or youth group and present a forty-five minute mini-workshop that will bring knowledge and awareness to you with information such as, getting a handle on marijuana policy, how families are being affected, pot shops on the arise, gummies and candy, and a view of the devastating effects on other states that have legalized it.
