In today's broken world, the battle requires not only courage but a steadfast commitment to make meaningful strides in support of families amid the complexities of today’s culture war. This endeavor is not for the faint of heart; it calls for individuals who are willing to stand firm in their beliefs and advocate passionately for the values that uplift families. We can navigate the challenges that lie ahead and create an environment where God is honored, religious liberty flourishes, families thrive and life is cherished. Let us embrace this important journey together, recognizing that our actions today lay the foundation for a more hopeful and resilient future for generations to come.

Israel - Last year I visited the Holocaust Museum in DC  for the first time and it was eye-opening and heart-wrenching at the same time. The evil perpetrated against Jews was beyond anything I could have imagined.  The October 7th Hamas-led attack on Israel reminded me of what I saw at the Holocaust Museum in DC.  I recently was invited to join the board of RICI, the Rhode Island Coalition for Israel and saw it at an opportunity to ensure that 'NEVER AGAIN' would that kind of evil take place.  The RI Family Institute has linked up with the RI Coalition for Israel to ask legislators to pass the International Holocaust Remembrance Act (IHRA) in Rhode Island. Antisemitism is increasing on college campuses like Brown University and on campuses across America, and around the globe.

As Christians we recognize the spiritual nature of this battle. Anti-Israel and Pro Palestinian marches are taking place and Jewish students are being threatened and harassed. Please pray for bi-partisan support and the passage of IHRA and I will keep you informed on the progress. Remember the blessing God gave to Abraham in Genesis 12:2-3 "I will make you a great nation; I will bless you, and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you, and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed."

IVF - Not the Perfect Solution - IVF is making national news as one of several techniques available to help people with fertility problems. During IVF, an egg is removed from the woman's ovaries and fertilized with sperm in a laboratory. The fertilized egg, called an embryo, is then returned to the woman's womb to grow and develop.

Mary Szoch writing for Family Research Council CAUTIONS...
"Certainly IVF has brought the hope of bearing a child to fruition for a small percentage (23%) of couples who utilize the process. All of us should acknowledge that the millions of children born as a result of IVF are a blessing to their families and to our world. At the same time, however, we must recognize that millions more lives have been lost through this process that treats children as a commodity, not a gift — with estimates suggesting that more than 97% of embryonic children are discarded, miscarried, frozen indefinitely, or donated for use by others or experimentation. Thankfully there are other options..."

These methods work with a woman’s body instead of ignoring an unhealthy system and trying to override it as IVF does. Restorative reproductive medicine is not extraordinarily expensive, and no part of the process infringes upon the dignity of any of the persons involved — including the unborn. There are no eugenic tests, no gametes to mix up, and no “excess” embryonic children to destroy.

Perhaps most importantly, restorative reproductive medicine has a success rate of over 60%with many couples successfully carrying a pregnancy to term even after failing to conceive via IVF."

"What Has Changed Since Recreational Marijuana Was Legalized?"

RIFI has a new outreach! We would love to come to your church or youth group and present a forty-five minute mini-workshop that will bring knowledge and awareness to you with information such as, getting a handle on marijuana policy, how families are being affected, pot shops on the arise, gummies and candy, and a view of the devastating effects on other states that have legalized it.
